Dementia Awareness Week 2017

To mark Dementia Awareness Week our CEO and Dementia Friends Champion Rosaleen Liard held an awareness session for our staff at Head Office.

The Dementia Awareness Session gave our employees a better understanding of how they can help people living with the disease in small ways.

As with any disease, the first step to beating it is raising awareness and the annual Dementia Awareness Week, started by the Alzheimer’s Society does exactly that.

Dementia is set to be the 21st Century’s biggest killer, but through small initiatives like the Dementia Friends programme, which have taken on board at Chequers could help prevent this.

We now have well over 100 Dementia Friends at Chequers, and at the rate we’re going well have even more by the end of the week.
